Spann getting into hoops, recruiting

Atlanta Westlake two-star receiver Emmanuel Spann is a busy guy. Right after his football season ended last week, the 5-foot-11, 170-pounder went right into basketball and is now even more focused on recruiting.
“I can’t play basketball in a game until this Friday because we had to sit out a week,” Spann said.

“But I’m just getting into the practices and getting everything worked out. I play point guard and shooting guard. I’m pretty good. I can light it up from outside and penetrate to the basket.”
But football is what’s going to pay for his college and he’s exploring quite a few options on that front.
“Yeah, I’m starting to get more into this recruiting stuff,” Spann said. “I know that I’m going to probably visit Marshall, Louisville, Clemson and Middle Tennessee State. BYU came by the school to talk to me today, so I’ll see what happens with them.
“I’m also going to meet Wisconsin here at my house later this week.”
