Southworth finalizes his decision
One of the long-time favorites for Paris, Texas fullback Ryan Southworth was the recipient of his commitment that he made this week.
The 5-foot-10, 223-pound two-way player had taken one official visit to Air Force in early December. In the end, Southworth couldn't see himself anywhere else.

"I made a verbal commitment to Air Force today," Southworth. "I was actually driving and thinking about the future and it kind of slapped me in the face. The benefits there definitely make it worth the effort and the strain you put on yourself with that kind of dedication."
Southworth says that his position of fullback played a lot into his decision as well.
"I really look forward to some playing time because growing up I never left the field," he said. "This way, I could really be out there a lot in that offense. Plus, their coaching staff is really great."
"I can tell a difference between them and the other colleges. I can see myself there."
