Southworth enjoys trip to Air Force

Paris, Texas fullback Ryan Southworth is a 5-foot-10, 223-pound prospect who knows that offers are coming even though his position isn't the most highly recruited.
The two-star prospect is taking the time to focus heavily on recruiting now that his season is over without a playoff run. Southworth just got back from an official visit to Air Force this past weekend and that helped them in the leader spots.

"I enjoyed the visit to Air Force," Southworth said. "They're always looking to go to a bowl game but always trying to win their conference as well. That's something I can see myself being a part of. I'd love to be there."
Arkansas State is the other favorite on his list and he is setting a visit there for the first or second weekend in January.
"Those two schools are my official offers right now and I'm excited about both programs," Southworth said. "I know that some schools think of me as a low priority position, but I'm not a low priority player. I'm going to be one of the hardest workers on the team."
"I'm sending out more tapes right now to Rutgers, East Carolina, Oklahoma, and some others to see what happens. TCU wants to get in the mix too."
Southworth plans on making his decision at the end of January.
