Southlake OT has handful of offers

Southlake (Texas) Carroll has been one of the strongest programs in the nation over the past decade and their success is shown by the number of alums on college rosters over that time. Now, another prospect looks to be the next Dragon to receive quite a bit of recruiting attention.
Offensive tackle James Prince was a second-team all-district selection this past season and the 6-foot-6, 268-pound junior is firmly on the radars of several colleges. In fact, he has already picked up a handful of early offers.

"I've been offered by Oregon State, Memphis, New Mexico and Purdue," Prince said. "I haven't had a chance to talk to the coaches at Houston but I believe they have too.
"Oregon State was the first one to offer. I actually hadn't talked to any of the schools prior to them offering so I was kind of shocked with all of them."
Recently Prince had a chance to see one of the schools that has offered.
"I actually visited Oregon State last weekend," he said. "It was really pretty up there. All the coaches were really nice. They were really personable and they gave me a personal tour around the campus. It seems like it would be a really nice place to play.
"I plan to make some other visits over the summer. I don't really know to where yet. It depends on who offers me I guess."
As far as favorites and any other particular schools he hopes might offer, Prince says there aren't any right now.
"I think I'm just going to see what comes my way," he said. "I'm not really talking to a whole lot of schools that haven't offered me. I'm open to everyone right now and things like distance aren't going to matter."
