Junior To Watch: Xavier Carter
School: Palm Bay, Fla.

Position: Wide Receiver
Size and speed: Carter is 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.35 seconds. He has a 3.3 grade point average.
Honors: All Central Florida
Statistics: Carter had 23 receptions for 800 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior. He averaged 45.0 yards on kickoff returns. Crater returned four kickoffs for touchdowns.
Favorite schools: Florida, Florida State, Miami, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma.
Skinny: Carter is one of the top returning wide receiver’s in the nation. He is an electrifying receiver with world-class speed and a big-time threat to go the distance every time he touches the ball.
“I just like the excitement I get out of it,“ he said. “I’m an all-around receiver.”
Carter was named an All-American in track and field. He was also named Florida’s Track Athlete of the Year. He has been timed at 10.3 seconds in the 100 meters.
Carter has received offers from Louisiana State, Florida, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, West Virginia, South Carolina, Kentucky, Central Florida, and Michigan. He will receive many more offers in the months coming.
Carter has named a top six programs that he is interested in. Even though he is remaining open at this time in his recruiting. This is what he had to say about each of them.
Miami: “The Hurricanes were my favorite growing up. My parents like the Hurricanes and they are just so exciting to watch. They have so much talent on both sides of the ball.”
Florida State: “I just like their offense.”
Florida: “I like their offense, too. They throw the ball every other down.”
South Carolina: “They are just an all around good team. I went to South Carolina for a track meet a couple of years ago and got to meet Lou Holtz. He’s pretty cool.”
Notre Dame: “I just like their team.”
Oklahoma: “Their an all-around good team.”
Carter plans to attend summer football camps at Florida, Bishop Better Hands Camp, and one of the Nike camps.
