CLASS OF 2019 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | State | Position | Team

The recruiting calendar is always sped up with it comes to the Southeast and nearly two months after Signing Day, schools in the south are already hard at work at building their 2019 class. Today we take a look at the biggest impact commitments in the class over the past two months.

Edwards committed to the Tigers following a visit to Baton Rouge. It surprised many, including himself, as he did not go into the visit planning to commit. He has made it clear that he will continue to take visits and look at other schools, so this one is not done with yet.

Lance Legendre

Since Kansas hired Tony Hull from New Orleans (La.) Warren Easton, the Jayhawks have done some damage in the Boot State. Legendre is a talented quarterback with a big arm and he is committed to Kansas. Do not expect schools to give up on this one, but if Kansas can hold on, this would be a huge pick up.

Jim Harbaugh has really attacked the state of Georgia on the recruiting trail and Jones popped just a couple of days after his first visit to Ann Arbor. He was rumored to have Florida high on his list and Duke was up there as well, but Harbaugh and company won him over with an in-person visit.

Jaelyn Lay

Lay's recruitment exploded quickly, adding big offer after big offer early in February, but he did not wait long before committing to Clemson early in March. This one is about as solid of a commitment as you will find. Lay said over the weekend that he is not taking any more visits.

William Norton

Norton spent the winter quietly collecting offers and after taking a few visits put a quick end to his recruitment when he committed to the Bulldogs earlier this month. The long, lean defensive end was made an early priority by Georgia and that diligence paid off, especially considering the new coaching staff at Tennessee made a push to get Norton on campus just prior to his decision. Georgia did a nice job pulling Vols legacy Cade Mays out of Knoxville in last year’s class and appear poised to land one of the Volunteer State’s best again in 2019.
