RELATED: Five Midwest recruitments to track as the Early Signing Period nears

The start of the December Signing Period is just a month way, with most of the class of 2019 prospects likely to put pen to National Letters of Intent. Despite the time to make a decision winding down, there are still plenty of big-name prospects still undecided. Today, we take a look at some uncommitted prospects in the Southeast that fans will be keeping a close eye on down the stretch.

Contenders: Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Miami and Oklahoma

Breakdown: Has there been a more talked about 2019 recruit the last six weeks? Haselwood was at one time committed to Georgia, but after re-opening his recruitment early in October, he has been a hot name. Haselwood is fresh off an official visit to Florida State and the Seminoles are working hard to become a true contender. Auburn, Miami and Oklahoma have already received official visits. Will Haselwood be back in Athens this weekend for his official visit to Georgia? Many will have their eye on that. The Hurricanes have been the school trending since the decommitment, with Georgia still fighting to get him back. We will not know who wins this war until Jan. 5 at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio.

Contenders: Alabama, Auburn, Clemson and Georgia

Breakdown: The word around Webb is, he will not use any official visits before he announces his decision on Dec. 10. He is very guarded, and he is not one that is going to tip his hand about his recruitment. Alabama was the school early most felt Webb would sign with, but over the last few months, Clemson and Georgia have had more buzz. Webb will likely be back in Tuscaloosa this weekend for the Iron Bowl, so this will be the Crimson Tide’s final shot. Could Clemson or Georgia convince Webb to visit officially in the coming weeks? Auburn looks to be fourth in this race right now, but does anyone really know the order? This has been one of the more interesting recruiting races to cover in recent years. It will come to an end soon.

Contenders: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss and Texas A&M

Breakdown: Is Dean tipping his hand by returning to Alabama this weekend for an unofficial visit? The Crimson Tide received the first official visit over the summer and they could be tough to beat. Dean has taken official visits to Auburn and Georgia this fall, and the Bulldogs have been viewed as a top contender for months. LSU is expected to host him for an official visit on Dec. 7, and you cannot sleep on the Tigers. His older brother plays at Ole Miss, so he is very familiar with Oxford and will not take an official visit there. Texas A&M received an official visit over the weekend, but the Aggies are likely fifth or sixth on his list. We know Dean is headed for the SEC, but which school will it be? Alabama and Georgia could be the ones on top as we head into the final weeks.

Contenders: Kentucky, Louisville, Purdue, Miami

Breakdown: Weaver is in a unique situation, considering that one of his finalists has already changed coaches (Louisville) and it’s very possible that the Cardinals hire away the head coach of another one of his finalists (Purdue). The relative state of flux only benefits the Wildcats and Hurricanes, with Kentucky having the edge heading into his Nov. 30 announcement. Miami rarely recruits the state of Kentucky, but Weaver grew up in South Florida before moving to the Bluegrass State for high school. Even after he announces, his recruitment could be hectic between the time he commits and the time he signs.

Contenders: Auburn, Florida State and Mississippi State

Breakdown: Hall is a prospect that has been close to committing on multiple occasions. It started over the summer, he was close again early in the fall, and now, here we are just two days from Thanksgiving, and Hall remains uncommitted. His time is coming though. He was back at Florida State over the weekend for his second visit to Tallahassee this fall. Unless there was some major movement the last few says, then this is still a battle between Auburn and Mississippi State. The Tigers held the lead a couple of months ago, but the in-state Bulldogs closed the gap, and they may even hold the lead now. This is still a very close race and it could go a few different ways. He has taken official visits to Auburn and Florida State. Mississippi State is expected to get one in the coming weeks before Hall signs in December.
