South Jersey RB gaining interest

Paulsboro, N.J. has produced its fair share of BCS level athletes over the years, and looking to join this list is running back De'Shaun Burgess. The talented junior enjoyed a successful season and is now looking to carry that offer to the winter and spring.
"Recruiting is going great," said Burgess, who is 5-foot-10 and 178 pounds. "I'm having fun and I'm overwhelmed by the exposure and opportunity."

Burgess claims that Pittsburgh and Temple have been showing him the most current interest, and the South Jersey back made it to Philadelphia during the summer to attend an Owls camp.
"The camp was good," he said. "It helped me improve on my technique and explosion."
Now that his season is over, Burgess hopes to check out a few more schools, which he hopes will include stops at Maryland, West Virginia and Ohio State. Burgess explained what impresses him about these three schools.
"Their tradition, academics and the talent that goes through these schools," he said.
Burgess finished off his junior season with approximately 1,400 yards rushing and 18 total touchdowns on offense, while adding eight interceptions and four forced fumbles on defense.
"I feel as though I performed at a high caliber," he said. "I improved by explosion, vision, acceleration and defensively, breaking on the ball in the air."
