South Jersey DE ready for summer camps

One of the biggest surprises at the New Jersey Rivals/VTO Camp was defensive end Eric Wiafe of Egg Harbor Township, N.J. Numerous schools have come in to check on him in recent weeks, and now he is in the process of piecing together his summer camp schedule.
"Recruiting is pretty good," said Wiafe, who is 6-foot-5 and 250-pounds. "I'm actually picking out my camp dates. It's pretty complicated, but I'm just looking for the one that will be the best fit."

While his summer camp schedule is still a work in progress, he did confirm that he will be attending camps at Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Iowa and Florida.
"At the camps, first I'm going to be trying to get an offer and I also want to show them my speed," said Wiafe.
Overall it has been a busy month for Wiafe, as schools continue to come in and out of his high school. Some of the schools that have recently stopped by include Boston College, Iowa, Pittsburgh, Temple, Penn State, Wisconsin, East Carolina and Florida.
So far this off-season Wiafe is trying to improve on several aspects of his game, while also maintaining his health for the fall.
"I'm working on attacking the run game, becoming a wiser player and increasing my speed rush," said Wiafe, who also discussed what he hopes to find in his future school. "Somewhere I can succeed and move onto the next level, as well as a school with good academic assistance."
