South Grand Prairie WR put on a show

FORT WORTH, Texas – At the TCU Nike Camp on Saturday afternoon, some of the best competition of the season went down between the wide receivers and the defensive backs. Both groups were deep and talented and the jaws were running almost as fast as the feet. One of the players that put on the best show on the offensive side of the ball was South Grand Prairie athlete Will Adams.
Adams consistently found ways to get open against every top-notch defensive back he faced and put on a show with his crisp routes and great hands.

"I thin it went real good today," Adams said on Saturday afternoon. "I was doing every DB up. Nobody could hold me. I showed everything. I showed hands, my routes, I showed the ability to jump over people and make people look silly. My mentality was just go have fun and do everybody I see."
Adams wasn't just beating defensive backs but as he mentioned, he was making them look bad. At 6-foot-0 180 pounds, his double moves and route-running was as fluid as anybody but he could be used on the defensive side of the ball as well.
"They're talking about me as an athlete and a safety, a DB, anywhere," he said. "I really like wide receiver but I can play safety though."
With one official offer in hand, Adams thinks that more could be on the way.
"Right now, I just got offered by Air Force and I think I'm about to get offered by Tulsa and UCF and I'm talking to the Oklahoma and Texas Tech coaches right now. I'm just kind of looking around right now trying to feel everybody out."
Though he is keeping a very open mind about the college recruiting process, there are two particular programs that Adams is very interested in.
"I would have to say Oklahoma and Florida," he said. "I like how they have the coaches and the atmosphere and education. They say they graduate people in three years and that's something to me."
As the summer approaches, Adams is still working on building his schedule but won't slow down his training regimen.
"Right now, traveling purposes I don't know but we're going to go to some camps. I just plan on working on everything: my hands, my speed and getting bigger."
