South Garland DB joins the offer club

Garland (Texas) South has plenty of talent this year on both sides of the ball and especially in the skill positions.
With one Phillip Payne already committed to Texas, another receiver Derron Montgomery picking up offers it seems the talent is endless. Still, another South Garland talent has risen to the surface in the 5-foot-11, 170-pound defensive back Del Howard.

Coach Mickey Moss says it was only a matter of time and once coaches got to see what he could do the offers rolled in.
"I've got offers for Del from Tulsa, Tulane, Arizona State, Mississippi State, Arizona, Houston, and TCU," Moss said about Howard's offers. "We had coaches come down to watch practice, watch his game film, and our spring game he just dominated."
"It also started rolling in after the NIKE (Training) Camp down at TCU."
Howard's teammate Montgomery has also picked up an offer from Utah within the last week making the total offer totals go up for the teammates.
Moss is in the process of talking with his guys and getting them ready for some summer visits.
"We're about to the point where I'll visit with Derron and Del and see where they really want to visit," Moss said. "We'll check and see who the favorite school is and then check to see if they've offered or will they recruit them."
Even with the tons of offers and an open recruitment, Howard's offers are not going to stop at seven.
"I've got about four or five schools that fit into the category of saying that an offer could be coming," Moss said. "I only count the ones that we get in writing, by e-mail, or in a phone call."
"However, there could be a lot more coming."
