South Florida wants me really bad

One of the most electrifying athletes in the state of Florida is Largo, Fla., two-star athlete Fred Marshall. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Marshall put up 1,970 yards passing and 20 touchdown passes this season to help his team to a 9-2 record.
But that wasn’t good enough to get his team into the state playoffs.

“That’s pretty messed up,” he said. “We lost our last two games, and we didn’t make it. Oh well, there’s nothing we can do now. But I was pleased with how I played. I kind of figured I would have a good season, but I was impressed with my numbers.”
Along with those big passing numbers, Marshall racked up nine touchdown runs and 400 yards on the ground.
Those stats are good enough to earn weekly calls from South Florida, West Virginia, Cincinnati and semi-regular calls from Purdue.
“South Florida is really talking about offering me a scholarship,” he said. “They want me really bad. They’re talking to me about playing quarterback, but the rest of the teams like me as an athlete or on defense at defensive back.”
