South Florida TE likes the Gators

Hollywood (Fla.) South Broward’s Matt Pichardo might be one of the most athletic tight ends in the state. The 6-foot-5 and 225 pound tight end, who has been timed in the 40-yard dash at 4.6 seconds, was named to the all-county team as a junior by catching 25 passes for 400 yards. He has no offers, but he has several teams taking a close look.
“Iowa and Kansas are recruiting me the hardest,” Pichardo said. “They want me to visit their schools next year. Florida called me on the phone, and Coach Zook came by the school. Florida wanted me to come to their camp.”

Pichardo told FlaRecruiting.com that his five schools are Miami, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, and Georgia. He’s has Florida as his early leader.
Pichardo, whose strengths are his hand and speed, had an excellent spring game against Coconut Creek. He caught six passes for 100 yards in an 18-16 victory.
