South Florida RB is one to watch

Boynton Beach (Fla.) American Heritage Delray is home of the best running backs in South Florida. Ron Williams was selected second team all-state by rushing for more than 2,000 yards as a junior. The 6-foot-1 and 200 pound running back has yet to receive a scholarship offers, but two big-time programs did phone him in May.
“Florida’s recruiting coordinator called,” Williams said. “He let me know that Florida was going to recruit me over the summer, and that the next time he’ll call me will be in September. He wants me to come to their summer football camp. Miami also called. They said that they saw me at the Miami Nike Camp, and they want me to make a visit to their campus sometime this year.”

Williams told FlaRecruiting.com that his top five schools are Ohio State, Oregon, Miami, Florida, and Central Florida.
“Florida is my favorite team because of their playing style,” Williams said “I like the way they run and throw the ball. The team that will probably give Florida run for their money is Miami.”
In a recent Jamboree game Williams was off to a good start until he sustained an injury to his shoulder. He rushed for 65 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.
This summer, Williams will attend football camps at Ohio State and Florida.
