South Florida QB picks up Big 10 offer

Stephen Morris picked up a Big 10 scholarship offer earlier today, as Northwestern offered this quarterback prospect from south Florida. Morris, 6-2 and 186 pounds, is from Miami (Fla.) Pace High School.
"Coach (Pat) Fitzgerald called and told me they had my film and that I was the first they need to offer," Morris said. "I was too excited to say too much but thank you. I told coach Fitzgerald that I will try and get up there and look at the school.
"He told me I would be perfect for their offense. I can run and also throw. I'll also fit their spread perfectly. They are starting a senior and a redshirt freshman. It would be a perfect competition."
Morris now has scholarship offers from Northwestern, Florida International, Central Michigan, and UCF. He hopes to visit Miami, Florida, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Tennessee and Purdue this summer.
Last season as a junior Morris threw for over 2,000 yards, 19 scores and nine interceptions last season as a junior.
