South Florida Officiating Camp: Top Defense

Recruiting wrap: Wilder holds offers from Alabama,
LSU, South Florida,
Louisville and Cincinnati, and he plans to attend camps at LSU and Alabama this
summer.
Performance: When Wilder stepped on the field his presence was immediately felt.
He made four consecutive plays in the backfield against Gelen Jesuit. He is
very quick and has great instincts as he sifts through traffic. He is not the
biggest but he has a long wingspan and he is a quick twitch athlete. He is more
than capable of getting sideline-to-sideline in a hurry.

CB
Deion Jackson
Hallandale (Fla.)
Recruiting wrap: Jackson is committed to Miami.
Performance: Jackson's length is beyond impressive and he used it to high point
an spectacular interception early in the day's first game. He's also brutally
physical and routinely goes after receivers at the line of scrimmage. On Friday,
he was rarely beaten and even showed a knack for closing well in run support.

DT
Aaron Thompson
Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard
Recruiting wrap: Thompson has seen his offer list grow to double digits. He
holds offers from LSU, Louisville, Clemson and he is keeping a close watch on
his options.
Performance: Thompson is quick off the ball and gets instant penetration. He was
disruptive from beginning to end as Dillard took on Flanagan on Saturday
evening. He plays with great leverage and overwhelmed with his first step. He
also did a good job of working his hands and countering his opponent.

ATH
Stanford Samuels (2017)
Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan
Recruiting wrap: Samuels says Georgia and Florida State are tied at the top of
his recruitment., but the young wide receiver is expected to eventually follow
his father's footsteps to Tallahassee.
Performance: Samuels has incredible length and is a nightmare for wide receivers
in coverage. He could stand to improve in run support and become more consistent
tackling, but is wildly impressive as a pure cover defensive back. On Friday, he
played both safety and cornerback and made one of the day's most impressive
interceptions. He is clearly one of the top 2017 defensive backs in the region.

DE
Joshua Uche
Miami (Fla.) Columbus
Recruiting wrap: Uche is committed to Miami but plans to visit
Florida,
Tennessee and Duke this offseason.
Performance: Uche lived in the offensive backfield during his team's game
against Hallandale. He was responsible for a number of quarterback hurries and
was in on more than one tackle for a loss. Uche has decent length for a weakside
end and his incredible quick with his first step. It's not difficult to see why
Miami accepted his commitment at such an early stage.
7
LB
Chei Hill (2017)
Homestead (Fla.) South Dade
Recruiting wrap: Hill is still waiting on his first offer.
Performance: It was a bit surprising how well Hill did throughout the day. He
was excellent at blitzing and shooting gaps on running plays. He pretty much
made a living in the backfield. Hill was super physical and running backs and
offensive linemen remembered it when he hit them. He was also very good at
slipping blocks so he could go make a play. Look for Hill's recruitment to pick
up speed in the coming weeks.
8
CB
Trajan Bandy (2017)
Miami (Fla.) Columbus
Recruiting wrap: Tennessee seems to lead Bandy's recruitment.
Performance: The fact that Bandy is a bit short doesn't seem to hold him back
whatsoever. His thick build allows him to impressive with his physicality and he
isn't shabby in coverage, either. On Saturday, he took wide receiver Josh Hammond, a prospect with dozens of FBS offers, out of the game almost
completely.
9
WR
Keyshawn Young
Miami (Fla.) Miami Senior
Recruiting wrap: Young plans visits to Alabama and LSU this summer.
He has not named a leader,
but has said in the past he wants to get out of Florida for college.
Performance: Young, also known as Pie, could easily be a top performer on
offense after playing extensively on both sides of the ball. However, his work
on defense gets the nod as he showed off his quick feet and physical play at
cornerback. He was able to get right in the hip pocket of receiver after
receiver and he was not leaving once he got there.
