South Florida LB has offers

Miami Gulliver Prep linebacker Darran Kinsey is sitting on several early scholarship offers and talked with Rivals.com about each of those programs and what makes him a Division I-A prospect.
The 6-foot-1, 235-pound Kinsey is claiming early scholarship offers from Central Florida, Miami (Fla.) and Auburn.

"Right now, recruiting is good," Kinsey said. "Coaches are talking to me and telling me good things about their school."
Hurricanes defensive line coach John Palermo is recruiting Kinsey for the Canes.
"It's like the dream school of every person from Miami," Kinsey said. "I grew up a Florida State fan, though."
Lance Thompson is recruiting Kinsey for the Golden Knights.
"They are telling me not to just look at the "big" schools all the time. They tell me that I need to get into a college where I can get in now and start playing as a true freshman, so that's what they told me."
"It was different," Kinsey. "I hadn't seen an indoor practice facility yet, because UM doesn't have one, so that was my first time seeing that."
Eddie Gran is recruiting Kinsey for Auburn.
"He (Gran) is a good person," Kinsey said. "I like how they are. They are together and they don't really have a big playmaker at middle linebacker, so I think I have a better chance of starting as a true freshman."
LSU, Michigan, Florida State, N.C. State and Georgia also are involved with Kinsey.
Kinsey believes that his tenacity and enthusiasm set him apart.
"The way I play, I'm always around the ball," Kinsey said. "I'm always hyped. I'm always around the ball."
Kinsey, who had 90 tackles last season for Homestead (Fla.) High, recently made the switch to Gulliver Prep.
"I felt like I had a better chance to go to D-I if I went to Gulliver," Kinsey said. "Homestead was sending a lot of kids to JUCO and I wanted to start off right and not have to go that route."
Kinsey is considering several majors in college, on of which is sports medicine.
