South Florida DE picks up offer 24

Ryan Shazier is a prospect that began to blow up a few months ago after an early combine in south Florida. Shazier, from Plantation High School, ran a 4.43, broad jumped 10-4, vertical jumped 38 inches and had a shuttle time of 4.4. Why are those numbers so impressive? He's a 6-2.5 and 209 pound outside linebacker prospect.
Last season as a junior, despite missing two games due to injury Shazier still recorded 87 tackles, 19.5 sacks, and 28 tackles for a loss.

"I have a good speed rush and good hands to get rid of blockers," Shazier said. "I am a sure tackler. Most teams like me as an outside linebacker or rush end on third downs."
According to Shazier he currently has 24 scholarship offers. The latest one came in earlier today from LSU.
"I really like them a lot and they have a young linebacking corp. I heard they have some very nice facilities. I talked with them today and they are a school that I will definitely check out."
So far Shazier has made several spring visits but he has remained in-state.
"Yeah, I have just been working out and visiting schools right now. I have seen USF, Florida State, Florida, and UCF. I have been to Miami plenty of times. They were all good trips. Florida and Florida State were the best out of the trips. Both of them have what I want to major in, both have good coaching and great facilities. The players are cool and collect and I like social environment at both schools.
"I will make the rest of the trips over the summer. I want to see Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State."
Does Shazier have a school or two out in the lead at this point or is he taking the more open approach?
"I want to see it everyone and then narrow it down to a manageable number. Academics are going to be big for me. Coaching stability, liking the area, social life and playing time are all important to me. I want to make my decision during the summer or season. I want to get it done before the playoffs."
