South Florida DE off to quick start

Clarence Murphy is a three-star defensive end prospect from Hollywood Hills High School in south Florida. Murphy has 33 tackles and 4.5 sacks so far this season.
"I have gotten faster off the ball and I am a better pass rusher," Murphy said. "I am getting off blocks better and stopping the run."

Murphy, now 6-2.5 and 235 pounds, has scholarship offers from Michigan, Wisconsin, USF, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, Colorado State and Maryland. He was scheduled to make his first official visit this past weekend but it didn't materialize.
"I was supposed to visit Wisconsin this weekend but I couldn't get in contact with coaches. It was kind of a last minute thing. I hope to reschedule sometime.
"I am still waiting on some schools that may offer like Ole Miss and Oregon. Michigan, Wisconsin and probably Maryland will be my officials. I am not sure yet. Me and Tony (Grimes) will try and go to all our visits together. I would like to wait until Signing Day before I make decision."
