South Florida DB on the verge

Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan safety Wayne Cobham is one of two players in his own secondary with a Division I offer and he may be the biggest prospect on his team. Now that the season has started the calls have started coming in.
"I still have offers from Central Michigan and Western Michigan," Cobham said. "Teams like Kansas State, Bowling Green, Florida International and Florida Atlantic are also calling me a lot. Miami, Southern Miss, Missouri and Nebraska have all been requesting senior film."

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Cobham attended the NIKE camp in Miami where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds, the shuttle in 4.25 seconds and posted a 33-inch vertical jump.
"I was supposed to go to the Miami game this weekend, but I couldn't make it down," Cobham said. "I have been to a Florida Atlantic and a Florida International game so far though. Next weekend I am going up to Georgia Tech to their game for an unofficial visit."
As a junior Cobham collected 66 tackles, recovered two fumbles, forced one fumble, had eight pass break-ups and blocked one punt.
"I really think that Bowling Green and Kansas State are both going to offer after they see my senior film," Cobham said. "They both also want me to come and take an official visit there. I had a visit set up with Central Michigan, but I had to cancel it because I thought our game was on a Thursday, but it was on a Friday."
So far this season on defense Cobham has 24 tackles, one interception and three blocked punts and offensively he has 82 carries for 435 yards and four touchdowns in five games.
"My top schools are Central Michigan, Bowling Green, Western Michigan, Southern Miss, Kansas State and Arizona," Cobham said. "I'm pretty much looking real hard at all of the schools that are recruiting me."
