South Florida CB takes in Athens

Richard Leonard is a cornerback prospect from south Florida. Leonard, 5-8 and 165 pounds, is from Miami Killian. This past weekend, he and some teammates travelled north to Athens, Georgia for their Dawg Night camp. It was a good visit for this three-star cornerback prospect.
"That was a lot of fun," Leonard said. I felt good out there and feel like I performed well. I like the coaching staff at Georgia. They like me at cornerback."

According to Leonard he has scholarship offers from Florida International, South Florida and Western Michigan.
"Right now I am really open. I like the schools that have offered and Georgia. I also like Miami and I am waiting to see what they do because they have not offered yet. I grew up a big Miami fan."
Leonard is a guy that plays both way at receiver and cornerback. Everyone is recruiting him on defense.
"I am a physical cornerback with good cover skills."
Leonard has also camped this summer at Tennessee and Florida.
"I think I did well at both places. Tennessee wanted to see me on film. I sent it up there and I am waiting to see what they say. Florida wants to see me get a little bigger."
So far this spring and summer Leonard has visited Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, FIU, USF and Miami.
"Now I just want to concentrate on having a good senior season."
Killian opens up their 2009 season against Miami Booker T. Washington.
