Position: Offensive tackle
Size and Speed: Young is 6-foot-4, weighs 260 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds. He can bench press 290 pounds and squat 400.

Honors: All-region, all-area, Most Valuable Offensive Lineman
Favorite Schools: Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina.
Skinny: Young could be the most highly recruited player ever at Union High School. He combines raw power with quick feet and was the fastest offensive lineman at Clemson’s summer camp a year ago.
“Eric started at offensive tackle for us in his first season of football ever,” said Union assistant coach Charlie Jenkins. “He had never done any weightlifting and his athletic ability carried him. Now, he’s improving every day and is beginning to dominant on a consistent basis.”
Young will start his third season at offensive tackle for Union.
