South Carolina WR on the radar

Hanahan (S.C.) wide receiver Brandon Ford had an excellent showing at the Athens NIKE Camp last month. While he is still waiting on his first scholarship offer, he has been getting some attention from several programs, including one in-state favorite.
"I haven't gotten any offers yet," he said. "I had some schools talking to me but not yet. I have to get my ACT scores back, but I don't know how well I did the first time, so I am planning on taking the test again in June."

South Carolina, Virginia, Clemson and Georgia, along with Division I-AA Charleston Southern, South Carolina State and Furman, have been by Hanahan High School to get a look at Ford during the spring evaluation period. The Gamecocks have made quite an impression on the 6-foot-4, 205-pounder.
"If I could get a scholarship offer from South Carolina right now, I would commit them," Ford said. "That's my main school. They've got a passing game that fits where I'm at. They just had Sidney Rice leave to go to the draft and they have Kenny McKinley right now who will be gone by the time that I get there. Their offense is similar to ours."
Ford will head to Columbia soon for a camp.
"We've got 7-on-7 at South Carolina next Saturday," he said.
He and his teammates will attend several other passing camps this summer.
"We've got Clemson, Tennessee and Georgia in one week and then we have the Charleston Southern passing camp, which we go to every year," he said.
Ford caught 63 passes for 635 yards and six touchdowns during his junior year. He also plays basketball and runs track, participating in the high jump, long jump, triple jump, 100-meter dash, 200, 4x100 relay and 110-meter hurdles.
