South Carolina WR names top four

Four schools headline the list for one of the South’s top wide receiver prospects.
“I don’t have a favorite right now, but I really like Kentucky, North Carolina, Clemson and South Carolina,” said Boiling Springs (S.C.) star Brooks Foster. “I’m waiting for my visits to decide which one looks the best. I’ll be going to Clemson for an unofficial visit on Aug. 30 to see the Georgia game. I’ll be trying to go to the other schools, too.”

Foster (6-3, 180, 4.5) has seven scholarship offers, including: Kentucky, South Carolina, Clemson, Maryland, Duke, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest. He camped at Kentucky, Georgia, Duke and Virginia Tech (Nike camp) this summer.
Georgia was previously high on his list, but Foster says the Bulldogs have dropped off a bit.
“I liked them a lot, but it doesn’t sound like they’re looking for any more wide receivers than they’re already recruiting this year,” he said. “I think I’ve got a better chance to play at the other schools.”
As a junior, Foster caught 35 passes for 500 yards and eight touchdowns. He’s also a top basketball player, and has been told by the four schools on his current list that he can walk-on with the hoops squad.
Academically, he maintains a 3.7 GPA and has scored a 20 on the ACT.
