South Carolina Star Commits
Jackson (S.C.) Silver Bluff wide receiver Troy Williamson decided not to wait until Wednesday.
"Coach Fitch and coach (Lou) Holtz came down to school to see me today," said the 6-foot-2, 205-pounder. "I committed then. I figured there was no more reason to wait. Everyone knew anyhow."

Williamson took a visit to Georgia this past weekend and cancelled his trip to Tennessee set for Jan. 25. He'll be in Columbia this weekend.
"You know the reasons," he said with a laugh. "Great track program, great football, great people and great school. It's perfect for me."
Now Williamson will become a recruiter for USC, trying to nab a big target this weekend.
"I'm gonna convince Kelvin Grant to commit as well," he said. "The two of us together would be cool."
