Skinny: Justin Knox is a playmaker as a dual-threat quarterback. Knox led Union to the 3A State Championship as a junior.
Union head coach Mike Anthony talked about Knox's toughness.
“Justin could play linebacker he is so tough. He has mental and physical toughness," said Anthony. “Justin played 11 games with torn cartilage in his knee this past season.”
Knox plans on running track and working out harder this summer in an effort to earn offers. The all-state quarterback is currently playing for the Union Yellow Jacket basketball team.
Knox’s current favorite school is South Carolina because two teammates are headed there -- Curtis Rice and David Smith. However, make no mistake about it, Justin’s blood runs orange.
"South Carolina is my favorite because nobody from Clemson has contacted me," he said. "I grew up a Tiger fan but I'll switch allegiances if that's what happens."
Knox attended South Carolina’s junior day this past weekend.
“They took us to the stadium and showed us around and then to the basketball game.”
He plans to attend camps at South Carolina, Clemson, North Carolina and Furman and could add a few as the spring progresses.
