South Carolina QB has leaders

He's one of the top quarterbacks in the nation. He has thrown for 11 touchdowns and he has rushed for three scores. So it's a big surprise to see Middle Tennessee State as one of the co-leaders for Greenwood, S.C., standout Sam Williams.
"No, it's not Tennessee, it's Middle Tennessee State," Williams, the four-star dual-threat quarterback, that has a great arm and amazing athletic ability.

"I really like Middle Tennessee. They’re a good program. I saw them play against Vanderbilt, and they were whipping the ball all over the field in their spread offense. Now, that's a system that I can cause damage in."
For the record, Williams lists South Carolina and Middle Tennessee as his top two teams. He has scholarship offers from South Carolina, Auburn, North Carolina, Missouri and several others.
Williams, who has a 2.6 grade-point average in his core and is taking the SAT next week, said he has not lined up any official visits and hasn't taken any official trips yet this season.
"I'm just focused on the season still," Williams said.
Williams at this point said he's liked to visit South Carolina, Middle Tennessee, Auburn and North Carolina for sure.
