South Carolina OL commits to Wake

The Wake Forest coaching staff had a very successful summer camp in which numerous players were offered and a few decided to make an early commitment. One such player hails from the Palmetto State.
"Trey committed to Wake Forest the other day," said Duncan (S.C.) Byrnes head coach Bobby Bentley of 6-foot-3, 265-pound offensive lineman Trey Bailey. "He is a terrific player, a guy who has led us to some big things and a leader on the field for us."

Bailey, who was also being recruited by Clemson, South Carolina, North Carolina, East Carolina and others, decided to end the process early.
"He knew he wanted to go someplace where he would fit in and could get a good education," said Bentley. "He's a very solid offensive lineman and quick. He runs around a 4.89-second 40-yard dash. He also bench presses more than 300 pounds and squats more than 500. He led us to state titles in his sophomore and junior year and is a good pickup."
Bailey joins wideout Jonathan Jones and tight end Ted Randolph as recent Wake Forest commitments.
