South Carolina, Miami after 3-star DB Fenton

Three-star Miami (Fla.) Carol City defensive back Rashad Fenton has continued to see his recruitment pick up over the past few months, with South Carolina being the latest school to extend an offer.
"I recently got an offer from South Carolina so we've been keeping in contact," the 5-foot-11, 170-pound Fenton said. "Everything has been going well with them."

According to Fenton, the Gamecocks staff love Fenton's prowess on the field, but also want to make sure he handles his business off of it as well.
"They want to make sure I stay on track academically and take this offseason serious football-wise as well," Fenton said. "They want to see me have a good senior year."
While South Carolina is working on getting Fenton on campus, nearby Miami recently hosted him at an on-campus camp.
"I just went over there for the camp recently and it was a great time out there," Fenton said. "I liked seeing how their staff is on the field and how they work together so it was interesting. They're still recruiting me hard."
Fenton said his interaction with the staff on campus was something he enjoyed.
"They worked me hard out there. I think they wanted to see what they could get out of me that one day we had in camp. I felt like I did very well at the camp."
With a busy workout and 7-on-7 schedule, Fenton hasn't been able to take as many trips as he would have liked, but he's hoping to change that soon.
"Me and my head coach have been planning some trips," Fenton said. "We're trying to see some schools like South Carolina and UCF so we'll see what we can work out."
