South Carolina back talks recruiting

Berekely (S.C.) Moncks Corner running back Andre Ellington holds three scholarship offers, one from each in-state program and one from an out-of-state school in the Southeastern Conference. The speedy playmaker talked about the recruiting process and some recent exploits on the track in this exclusive interview with Rivals.com.
"I still have offers from Clemson and South Carolina," Ellington said. "Kentucky has offered me. Kentucky was the first one to offer me, in fact."

The 5-foot-9, 170-pounder recently said that the Tigers led for his services and while he backed off of having a leader, he still had a lot of good things to say about Clemson.
"It's back to even, sort of," Ellington said. "(Clemson) was the school I felt more about. I really didn't get a good view (of South Carolina) like I did with Clemson. I mean I got to see the campus and everything, but I didn't get the chance to see everything."
The offensive scheme of Tigers coordinator Rob Spence also is appealing to Ellington.
"I like the offense they run because I run the same type of offense in high school," he said. "The scenery also is nice around the school I like that they play two big-time running backs (James Davis and C.J. Spiller) at the same time."
He also likes the way the Gamecocks move the ball.
"I like their offense, too," he said.
Ellington added that he hasn't heard from any other schools besides South Carolina, Clemson and UK.
In addition to being a standout on the gridiron, Ellington also is a track star. On Tuesday night, he ran the 100-meter dash in 10.8 seconds during a high school meet. Ellington has won the 100-meter during every meet he has participated in this year and has a season-best time of 10.7.
