Sources say Kates to Michigan
Sources out of Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt say that defensive tackle Jason Kates has signed with Michigan. Kates is expected to announce it publically at around 2:15PM EST. The 300-pounder chose Michigan over NC State.
Kates' ex-teammate, running back LeSean McCoy, is expected to announce his decision at a press conference at Milford Academy in northern New York. McCoy will sign with a school this year although he'll be at Milford for the fall and spring semesters before enrolling somewhere in August of 2007.
As of Tuesday night, McCoy was deciding between Penn State and Miami but Virginia Tech and USC could easily be the choice as McCoy has waffled back and forth at times. If he chooses Penn State, it could boost the Nittany Lions up near the top 10.
