Sound Mind Sound Body: Top performers

Recruiting wrap: Maryland, Penn State and Illinois are Young's most recent
offers.
Performance: Young has the athleticism and physical tools to be a major national
recruit. His length and explosiveness off the line of scrimmage was too much for
the offensive linemen to handle. Young's rip moves to the inside and outside
were particularly effective. He has the balance to dip underneath the hands of
offensive linemen and stay on his feet to get to the quarterback.

DB
Damon Hayes
Upper Marlboro (N.J.) Wise
Recruiting wrap: Hayes is committed to Rutgers.
Performance: Hayes is a big defensive back (over 6-feet tall) that is likely
destined to play safety after getting into a college weight training program.
His physicality and length are his best assets. It allowed him to slow receivers
down and force a tough pass from the quarterbacks. Hayes worked best when he
stayed over top the receiver and could drive on the pass in front of him.

OL
Marcus Minor (2017)
Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha
Recruiting wrap: Virginia Tech, Temple and East Carolina have offered Minor.
Performance: Minor continues to improve with each camp he attends. He was the
most physical and athletic offensive lineman at the camp on Friday. Minor's size
and quickness made it very difficult for defensive linemen to beat him to the
outside. Once Minor got his hands on the defender he did a good job of getting a
lot of push and controlling where the defender went.

DB
Judson Tallandier (2018)
Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha
Recruiting wrap: Tallandier is waiting on his first offer.
Performance: Consider this Tallandier's coming out party. He is raw but his pure
athleticism and instincts helped him have a lot of success. At 6-foot-1,
170-pounds, Tallandier's length proved to be valuable against the smaller,
quicker receivers. Expect Tallandier's offer sheet to be well in the double
digits when all is said and done.

RB
Xavier Goodall
Richmond (Va.) Henrico
Recruiting wrap: Goodall has a long offer sheet highlighted by teams like
Temple, Richmond, Navy, Delaware and others.
Performance: Goodall is a solidly built and very quick running back that excels
in camp settings. He is nearly impossible for linebackers to guard in space and
he has pretty reliable hands. There were a few plays where Goodall completely
faked out the linebacker and easy scored.

LB
Ayinde Eley (2017)
Olney (Md.) Good Counsel
Recruiting wrap: Eley added an offer from Michigan State after the camp.
Performance: Linebackers are at the biggest disadvantage in the camp setting but
Eley had a lot of success because of his length, agility and ability to
anticipate routes. He has added a lot of muscle and good weight since this time
last year. Expect Eley to have a big season and more offers to roll in.

DT
Akeem Smith (2018)
Richmond (Va.) Varina
Recruiting wrap: Smith is still waiting on his first offer.
Performance: There is a lot of hype about Smith's potential and rightfully so.
He is already very far along technically and he is more aggressive than many
players that are about to be seniors. Smith is on the shorter side right now
(5-foot-11) but he still has a few years to get taller. Once he does, the best
offensive linemen in the country will have their hands full.
