Sophomore up to 10 offers

Super sophomore Myron Rolle from Princeton (N.J.) The Hun School received his ninth and tenth offers last week following a standout performance at the Elite College Combine in New Jersey.
"Duke and Maryland offered through my coaches at the combine," said the 6-foot-3, 200-pounder. "That makes 10 offers so far."

Despite the new offers, Rolle's top eight is littered with teams who haven't pulled the trigger yet. That's understandable however, since he's just finishing his sophomore season.
"Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Michigan, Miami, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Virginia Tech and Florida are my dream schools so to speak," he said. "Oklahoma and Virginia Tech have offered me so far out of that group."
Rolle, who rushed for 1,038 yards and had 103 tackles as a two-way start last season at The Peddie School, broke down what he likes about each program.
Oklahoma - "They have a great tradition of football dominance. when I camped there this past summer, I got an inside look into how and why the Sooners are one of the best teams in the nation."
Notre Dame - "I have always liked Notre Dame. It doesn't hurt that my parents really like the school as well. I think I could get a good mix of academics and athletics there while playing on TV every Saturday."
Michigan - "They seem to always have great teams even in down years. That tells me a lot about the program and the type of coaches they have. They have also made an effort to come to school and see me in person, that means a lot."
Miami - "I like the way Miami plays aggresively. I especially like the way the defensive backs play. I try to model my game after Sean Taylor because I think he is a protypical free safety. It's NFL University."
Texas A&M - "I like A&M because of the fan support that they receive and the level of football they play."
Ohio State - "Coach Tressel seems to be putting together solid teams."
Florida - "Florida plays an uptempo type of game and they are respected nationwide as being a top caliber program."
Virginia Tech - "I always thought that VT was a solid program, but after my visit there two weeks ago, I know that it is very special. The coaches and players alike are all genuine and know their football."
Rolle was one of six sophomores to compete at the Elite College Combine. How was the experience?
"The highlight was the one-on-ones," he said. "I got beat by Derrick Williams once, but I stuck with him the other two times. I think that's what it's all about, challenging the best player in the country and not backing down."
