Position: Receiver
Size and Speed: Brain Barmann is 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds. He has run a 40-yard dash time of 4.7 seconds.
Statistics: Last season as a sophomore he caught 72 receptions for a Missouri state record of 1,400 yards, and 12 touchdowns. The passes were thrown by his older brother, junior Adam Barmann, who was named first team all-state last year too.
Honors: He was named first team all-conference, all-metro, all-district, and all-state as a receiver.
He was also named as a first team All-American by a national prep sports magazine, as well as one of the top five sophomore receivers in the nation.
Favorite Schools: Missouri is the only school that's shown any interest so far, so they would be both the favorite and recruiting the hardest.
If he could make his five visits today, they would be to:
Missouri: "It's close to home. It is a Div.1 school and in the Big 12 Conference."
Kansas: "It's close to home."
Colorado: "I like the weather there, because I like the snow."
Oklahoma: "I would just like to go there."
Kansas State: "I've liked them as a fan since I was little."
Skinny: "Distance probably won't be a factor, as I haven't thought about any of it yet."
Brian has not attended any camps, but this summer he plans to attend the Nike camp at Texas A&M and possibly the Missouri camp.
"I run good routes, and I have very good hands."
He described himself as "a physical player and a possession receiver".
He compared his style of play to Ed McCaffrey of the Denver Broncos.
His dream school would be Missouri, while his Dad's would be Notre Dame.
He has set his sports goals as "repeat state championship, and I'll set my personal goals this summer".
He named Joey Harris from Plattsburg as his toughest opposing player. Brian benches 235 pounds, squats 285 pounds, and has a core GPA of 2.5.
