Sophomore to Watch: Marcel Jones

Position: Quarterback
Size and speed: Jones is 6-foot-2 and 193 pounds. He has been timed in the 40-yard dash at 4.65 seconds.
Statistics: Jones accounted for 2148 yards of total offense during his sophomore season. He passed for 1621 and rushed for 527.
Favorite Schools: Florida, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Carolina, and South Dakota.
Skinny: Jones has been a varsity starter at quarterback since part-way through his freshman season.
"We talked to (Badger assistant) Jim Hueber from Wisconsin about going to their camp," Marcel Jones' father and Simley head coach Randy Jones said.
"And he's starting to get some interest from North Carolina and South Dakota."
"He's interested in Florida. He was at their camp two years ago. And he was at South Carolina's spring practice."
"He likes Minnesota and Wisconsin.
"I'm from Wisconsin. He's been with me at their camp and we're going back to it this summer."
