Sophomore CB has five offers

John Reid is a name that college coaches have known since before his freshman season at Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph's Prep. Just having finished his sophomore season last fall, Reid already has several offers.
"I'm at five right now," said Reid, who is 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds. "Rutgers, Boston College, Central Florida, Colorado and Maryland have offered."

With Reid allowing his head coach to handle most of his recruiting to this point, he is unsure of what other schools are showing interest currently. He also mentioned that a few schools have stopped by to check on him, with Penn State being the most recent last week.
While he is not fully engulfed in his recruiting process at this early stage, Reid is still very thankful for his early success.
"I'm really blessed and I'm really grateful," Reid said. "I use it as motivation to keep working harder."
On the field during the fall, Reid helped his team to a 10-1 season while finishing with five interceptions.
"I feel like I improved on every aspect of my game, and I noticed some things from my freshman season that I wanted to do better and I think I did that this year," he said. "But in football there are always things to improve on, so I'm still finding ways to get better and I have great teammates who help me do that."
Reid currently does not have any college camps planned for this summer, but he does know what he will be doing in his spare time.
"I'll be doing a lot of training with my team, lifting, speed training and studying football tapes," Reid said.
