Solid Top Five For DE

Piscataway, N.J. defensive end Omar Savage has his top five schools narrowed down. The 6-foot-5, 230 pound lineman is not ready to verbal, but does have a top to bottom list at this time.

"My top five in order are Rutgers, Maryland, Clemson, Temple and West Virginia."

Besides having offers from his top five, Omar also has offers from Purdue, Wisconsin, Indiana, Duke and Kent State.

"I really like the coaches, campus and players at Rutgers. Maryland is a nice location and I like the academic support they offer. I like the facilities at Clemson although Rutgers is upgrading theirs with the new weight room that they are adding. I need to learn a bit more about both Temple and West Virginia."

Omar is a very good athlete for his size and has the frame to add another 30 pounds of muscle. He moves to the ball very well and has long arms to help fight off blockers. Although he is not ready to commit now, a verbal might not be out of the question sometime during the season.

"I'm not looking to commit right now, but you never know. I might decide for sure sometime during the season."
