Sofele moving up the charts

Murray (Utah) Cottonwood isn't just home to four-star offensive lineman John Martinez. Cottonwood all-purpose running back Isi Sofele has had a very big spring and is quickly becoming one of the top targets in Utah.
After picking up early an offer from Air Force, Sofele (5-7, 168) said in May he's picked up offers from Washington and Washington State. BYU, UCLA, Kansas State and Utah are also involved.

"I feel good about getting a Pac 10 offer," he said. "That's where I want to be – the Pac 10. It feels good. I've also been talking to UCLA and Kansas State. "I kind of like the Washington coach and Jody Sears at Washington State. They're both good guys."
He's also been in contact with other coaches.
"The running backs coach for Kansas State (Ricky Rahne) was really cool to talk with," Sofele said. "The coach I talked to with UCLA was Norm Chow . He came up to school to see both John Martinez and me. The coach from Washington, I forgot what his name was, but he was just here last week to watch us in some work outs. I know he's like an O-line coach (Mike Denbrock)."
Sofele said he would like to have an early decision out of the way.
"I'm kind of planning on graduating early from high school, so the beginning of my senior year would be the best time to make a decision," he said. "The Pac 10 schools are what sticks out to me. I want to stay West Coast. I'd say all the Pac 10 schools are even right now."
This summer he plans on camping a little bit of everywhere.
"I'm going to the SMU camp, the USC camp and the Kansas State camp," he said. "And coach was talking about attending LSU and Oklahoma State camp. That's all I know right now. I've been talking to Oklahoma State here and there. One of our former players Alex Cate went there, so he wants us to go there."
As an all-purpose player, Sofele said some schools have talked to him about playing running back or slot receiver.
