Soesman serious about Big Ten

Adam Soesman had some things figured out but an offer from the Big Ten has intrigued him and the Clovis (Calif.) Buchanan safety might be making one more trip this summer.
"I picked up an offer from Northwestern the other day," Soesman said. "I love that. I really like both the academics and the football program they have there. It's in the Big Ten and that's a great conference and they're really making some good steps. The academics are really big for me."

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound three-star safety is not sure whether he can make an unofficial visit to Northwestern this summer but he definitely wants to see the campus and meet the coaching staff.
If a trip cannot happen, then Soesman could take an official trip there later on. There is definitely a lot of interest in Northwestern and his preference would be to visit before any decisions are made.
"I talked to them a little bit and I might make it there toward the end of the summer," Soesman said. "We'll see. I want to make it up there. I'm not sure if I will be able to, but if so it will be the end of summer."
Soesman now has offers from Arizona State, Fresno State, Houston, Northwestern, Oregon State, San Jose State and Washington State.
The Clovis Buchanan standout said he's still waiting to see if UCLA and Stanford will offer but that there are some favorites as the summer continues.
"I still like Oregon State," Soesman said. "Them and Northwestern are probably the top two offers that I have. They have great coaches at Oregon State, they're tremendous guys, and I've heard only good things about coach (Mike) Riley and that's big to me."
