SoCal WT blowing up

Wide receiver Jeshua Anderson (6-3, 190, 4.45) from Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft came into the season as a sleeper football player who was better known for his track prowess.
As a junior, Anderson was second in the state in the 110-meter high hurdlers and second in the state in the 300 low hurdles. He also high jumped a 6-8 so his athleticism has been duly noted.

Taft coach Troy Starr told Rivals.com in an earlier interview that he expected Anderson to have a fine season in the fall and so far he hasn't disappointed.
Anderson has 33 receptions for 844 yards and nine touchdowns while averaging an outstanding 25.6 yards per catch.
Rushing the football, Anderson has 129 yards on 12 rushes and one touchdowns with an average of 10.6 yards per carry.
"Jeshua will start taking his visits after the season," Starr said. "He has offers from Colorado and Nevada. Oregon State is also recruiting him hard and may offer soon."
UCLA, Cal and Oregon are also keeping a watchful eye on Anderson.
In an earlier interview with Starr, he had the following to say about Anderson's abilities.
"Jeshua is a later bloomer," Starr said. "He went from a partial starter early last season to our No. 2 receiver by the end of the season. Jeshua caught three touchdown passes against Sylmar in our semi-final game.
"This guy is truly unique," Starr said. "He is off the charts with potential."
"I think he will be one of the country's top hurdler prospects next year and if he stays healthy a top receiver prospect, too," Starr said. "I know this to be true because I've had big time receivers before and I know what one looks like. They look like Jeshua."
"Jeshua is a quiet kid who is light maintenance," Starr said. "He's only going to get better because he has Jerry Rice like work ethic."
Recruiting sidebar: Anderson's uncle is John Anderson, who was a hurdler at USC and Oregon State coach Mike Riley coached his Dad at Linfield College.
