One player off to a very strong start this season is Las Flores (Calif.) Tesoro wide out Scott McKnight. McKnight has put up huge numbers in the teams first two games this season and recently picked up his first scholarship offer.
McKnight, 5-11, 170 pounds had a strong junior season and then looked very good at the NorCal Nike Camp. The wide receiver caught 59 balls for 933 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior and earned 1st team All-CIF and second team all Orange County honors last season.
At the Nike camp, the athlete clocked a 4.69 in the 40, 4.19 in the shuttle and jumped 35 inches in the vertical. He also looked very good catching the ball in the position drills and was also impressive the following day when he came out to catch passes for the quarterbacks at the EA SPORTS Elite 11 workout at Cal.

In two games this year, McKnight has already caught 23 balls for 379 yards and two scores. Things have also picked up for him on the recruiting front.
"I just got offered by Boise State," McKnight said. "Nevada and UC Davis have also called me and said they're close to offering as well. Stanford, Fresno State and San Jose State are the others I'm talking with right now. I like Boise State and I'm good friends with Cody Hawkins who has already committed to Boise State.
"That's one of the things I like about Boise State. Cody is a great player and I know if I went there, I would have a great quarterback throwing me the ball. I probably talk to Cody about once a week and he really wants me to come to Boise State but right now, I just want to go through the recruiting process a little and see what else is out there. I've always liked Stanford and they seem very interested. I haven't filled out the application yet to get in to the school but I'm planning to do that. Right now, I'm carrying a 3.8 GPA and I scored a 1000 on the SAT."
