SoCal WR is a catch

Wide receiver Kevin Chandler (6-1, 185, 4.52) from Mission Viejo, Calif., is one to keep your eyes on. He plays for one of Orange County's best football programs so you whatever school ends up with will get a player who has been well coached.
Chandler plays at the highest level of football in the Golden State so he goes up against good competition week in and week out. He has an outstanding work ethic and constantly labors on making his routes tight and precise. He is also mentally tough, and will make the gutsy catch in traffic.

Plus he has the soft hands that will allow him to hold onto the ball. He also has leadership skills and is one of the reasons that Mission Viejo is expected to deep into the playoffs this fall and winter.
Chandler first grabbed attention as the main target for Cal bound Allan Bridgford. As a junior, Chandler latched onto 67 receptions for 895 yards and scored eight touchdowns.
Chandler earned first-team all-CIF, first-team all-league and second-team all-county. He was one of (only two juniors on the all county team in 2007. Who was the other junior? None other than USC bound five-star quarterback Matt Barkley from Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei.
On the recruiting trail, Chandler has received phone calls from Texas Tech, Washington State, Fresno State, San Diego State ,Utah and Indiana.
What is Chandler looking for in a college?
"I'm looking for that great blend of excellent academics and a strong, competitive football program that I can contribute to right from the start," Chandler said. "Even though I've spent my whole life in Orange County, I've got family in the Midwest (Indiana) and east coast (Pennsylvania), so I've been to other parts of the country and I'm really looking to find the best program that's a fit with my skills and style of play."
Chandler is also an outstanding student who carries a 3.3 GPA 3.3 and has scored a 1670 SAT.
