SoCal WR has offers
Keep your eyes on two-way standout wide receiver/cornerback Orlando Scandrick (5-11, 175, 4.5) from Los Alamitos, Calif. It is easy to get lost in the shuffle at Los Al with all the other talented players. Scandrick has had a great and is very motivated off-season with his eyes on a breakout senior year.

Scandrick has two offers currently from Nevada and Wyoming. A lot more schools are saying they will offer on the first of September when colleges are allowed to talk to prospects again.
Cal, Oregon State, Arizona, Arizona State, BYU and UTEP are showing a lot of interest in Scandrick.
Scandrick played wide receiver as a junior and was an all-league selection for his efforts.
As a junior Scandrick was a double threat catching and running the ball.
As a receiver, Scandrick caught 29 passes for 290 yards and scored two touchdowns. Running the football, Scandrick scooted for 229 yards and three touchdowns while averaging 10.4 yards per carry.
For his senior season, Scandrick will play on both sides of the ball. In addition to his wide receiver duties, Scandrick will suit up as a cornerback in 2004.
Playing both ways for Los Al carries a lot of weight and big things are expected out of Scandrick this coming fall. If he lives up to his potential, Scandrick will end up being one of the most sought after two way players on the west coast.
Scandrick is known as a very polished wide receiver who runs great routes. He worked on his skills by attending camps at USC and Arizona.
In an earlier interview with Los Alamitos coach John Barnes he said, “Orlando is a playmaker on both sides of the ball. He's a great cover corner on defense. He can get in your hip and just run with you all day. You can't shake him.”
