SoCal WR close to decision

Wide receiver Maurice Shaw (6-3, 185, 4.6) from Ontario (Calif.) Colony flew under the radar this season but that could end up in the favor of UNLV the school that Shaw visited this past weekend.
"I liked UNLV a lot," Shaw said. ""The visit went real good. I heard the things I wanted to hear.

"The UNLV coaches are coming over to my house on Tuesday and I'm going to commit to them, but they understand that I'm going to visit Idaho this coming weekend on January 19th."
"I like the character of UNLV's football coaches and their players," Shaw said. "I also like the vision they have right now. They visualize that they will have a lot of success next year."
If UNLV holds serve they will be getting the prototypical wide receiver prospect who has the height of the modern receiver that D-I's like and an outstanding athlete who knows how to make plays.
Shaw earned League Offensive Player of the Year after hauling in 54 receptions for 1,036 yards and 14 receiving touchdowns. He had a total of 19 touchdowns on the year.
On defense, Shaw also knew how to make plays as he accounted for 35 tackles, seven interceptions and one fumble recovery.
In addition to Shaw's Offensive POY honors, he was also a first-team all-CIF, first-team all-county, first-team all-area and first-team all-league for his senior season performance.
