SoCal two-way performer one to watch

Junior to Watch: Jordan Munde
School: Palos Verdes (Calif.) Peninsula

Position: Running Back/Free Safety
Size and Speed: Munde stands 6-foot-2 weighs in at 200 pounds and runs the forty in 4.5. Munde possesses an outstanding work ethic. He power cleans 250 pounds and that is very impressive when you consider that Munde has a very lean frame. Munde is a great student who also carries a 3.6 GPA.
Honors: Munde was selected all-league, all-area, all-CIF and all-state underclassman as a junior.
Statistics: As a running back, Munde rushed for 1,911 yards on workman like 311 carries and 19 touchdowns in 11 games. He averaged 6.1 yards per carry for his junior season. On defense from his free safety position he racked up 69 tackles, eight pass deflections, four interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
Favorite Colleges: UCLA, USC, Stanford, Cal, Penn and Yale to name a few of the schools that are showing interest in Munde.
Skinny: This durable player is just as good on both sides of the ball. “As a running back Jordon is very tough and durable,” Peninsula head coach Tony Uruburu said. “He has great speed for a running back his size, but the best thing about him is his vision. He sees the whole field.”
“On the defensive side of the ball Jordan is a tough physical player,” Uruburu said. “He is very aggressive on the defensive side of the ball and has a great nose for the football.”
“Jordan is definitely a D-I player,” Uruburu said. “Academically however Jordan could play in the Ivy League.”
That is another thing that the D-I schools like about Munde. He is only going to bigger.
Munde has a high ceiling and tremendous upsides.
You better put Munde on your one to watch list.
