When you're hot, you're hot and tight end Joseph Fauria (6-7, 247, 4.75) from Encino (Calif.) Crespi is hot. Fauria's stock is steaming as the received his third offer since Monday.
The Oregon Ducks have joined Ole Miss, LSU, UCLA, Colorado and Nebraska as schools that have offered the talented tight end a scholie and have joined the competition for Fauria's services.
"I'm thrilled with my latest offer from Oregon," Fauria said. "I think Oregon is a program on the rise and it feels good to get more Pac 10 love.
Besides Oregon, Fauria has received offers from Colorado and Nebraska just this week.
All but the offer from Ole Miss has come after Fauria attended the Rivals.com Junior Day on February 24th in Anaheim.
Fauria earned first-team all-league in both football and basketball as a junior.
On the gridiron, Fauria caught 22 passes for 329 yards and four touchdowns.
The scouting report on Fauria is he's a clutch receiver who will make the catch that moves the chains. He runs excellent routes and can find the open spot. He is also an outstanding blocker who takes pride in that aspect of his game.
An outstanding all-around athlete, Fauria could go both ways this coming fall adding defensive end to his tight end duties.
