SoCal TE has two on top

Tight end/linebacker Christian Thomas (6-4, 240, 4.55) from Palmdale (Calif.) Highland sure passes the look test and passes the athletic side of things too. There is a very good possibility that Thomas is the best tight end prospect in the Golden State for the class of 2010.
Thomas currently has eight offers on the table and you can take it to the bank that there will be more before the spring evaluation period is over.

As a junior, Thomas earned first-team all-league, first-team all-CIF and second team All-American after accounting for 32 receptions for 690 yards and eight touchdowns while averaging 21.6 yards per catch. The versatile Thomas also played some middle and outside linebacker for Highland last fall.
Thomas has offers on the table from UCLA, USC, Oregon State, Washington State, LSU, Tennessee, Florida State and Colorado.
"UCLA and USC are really high on my list," Thomas said. "UCLA has a beautiful campus and sociable people, great coaches and a great environment. I really like UCLA academics and their academic resources."
"I haven't really been to USC's campus yet," Thomas said. "I have seen the Coliseum and their practice field. I plan on visiting USC soon."
"I like (tight end) Coach Brennan Carroll," Thomas said. "He's fun to be around."
"I also want to see LSU," Thomas said. "I have been talking to (wide receiver coach) D.J. McCarthy."
"I am also interested in seeing Cal," Thomas said. "That's the school that my dad went to and I want to see what he saw in Cal."
"Miami is another school that I would like visit," Thomas said. "I like Miami's tradition of great athletes."
It is obvious that Thomas will have quite a selection of schools before it is all over. What is Thomas looking for in college?
"First off my parents want school that has great academics," Thomas said. "For me I what to go to a school where I fit in the system."
"I also don't want to go to a school where I won't get a chance to play until I'm a senior," Thomas said. "Besides getting a free education, I want to contribute and be able to help the team put points on the board and get yards. I want to help the team produce."
"While UCLA and USC are high on my list, I am pretty open right now," Thomas said. "I'm not near making a decision. I want to take my visits first."
