SoCal TE Has Local Favorite

A tight end we feel will be one of the best in the West region next year is Bellflower's (Calif.) Edward Dickson. Dickson, 6-6, 215 pounds is a two sport standout but will sign a football letter next February.
"He's just a great athlete," Bellflower head coach Brian Mustain said. "I've already had a couple of college coaches tell me they think he's going to be one of the top recruits in the state next year. The thing with Edward is he's so big and athletic. He'll probably be a top 50 basketball recruit nationally next year as well, at least that's what I'm hearing but I think his future is in football."

As a junior, Dickson caught 19 balls for 325 yards and four touchdowns. He also started at defensive end totaling 60 tackles, 12 quarterback sacks and three forced fumbles.
"USC is my top school followed by Arizona State, Oregon, Washington State and Cal," Dickson said. "I'm looking for a school with a good combination of athletics and academics and a place where I'll be able to come in and play early at as well."
Academically, Dickson is carrying a 2.8 GPA and will take the SAT later in the year.
