SoCal sleeper QB getting big late looks

Every recruiting year there are head scratchers as recruitneks ponder some players have very little play on the recruiting trail. One of those head scratchers is quarterback Chad Dashnaw (6-4, 220, 4.8) from Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne. It appears things are heating up for the signal caller.
"Lane Kiffin is coming to Narbonne High School today personally to look at our quarterback," Narbonne assistant coach in charge of recruiting Byron Moore Sr., said. "Coach Kiffin has been showing Chad a lot of interest since we finished his highlight film.

"Coach Kiffin is very impressed with Chad," Moore Sr., said. "Coach Kiffin has said that Chad is very high on his list and that is why Coach Kiffin is coming down himself.
"Also UCLA offensive coordinator Norm Chow is coming by tomorrow, also to talk with Chad and sit with him," Moore Sr., said. "SC and UCLA are both looking at him right now."
One of the mysteries is what took so long as Dashnaw threw for 3,475 yards and 31 touchdowns, while hitting on 65.3 percent of his passed against only 12 interceptions. He also rushed for 400 yards and scored nine rushing touchdowns while averaging 4.9 yards per carry.
Just another wrinkle in a very interesting recruiting season. More on Dashnaw as it develops.
