SoCal RB lands Pac 10 offer

Running back Carl Winston (5-10, 205, 4.48) from Gardena (Calif.) Serra has been a steady contributor for one of SoCal's best teams this season and he is also picking up some steam along the recruiting trail as he picked up his second offer and his first one from the Pac 10.
"I just received my second offer," Winston said. "This one is from Washington State."

"The Washington State offer makes me feel real good," Winston said. "It is a pretty good school even though the program is a little bit down."
"I'm in the process of setting a visit to Washington State on November 8th," Winston said. "I feel if I go there I could help them out."
"Washington State is in the Pac 10 and I've always liked the Pac 10," Winston said. "Like I said if I chose Washington State, I think I can help them out."
San Jose State was the first school out of the box with an offer and now Washington State has joined the fray. With the way that Winston is playing there's a good chance that those two schools will soon be joined by other schools.
Just last Friday Evening, Winston rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns. On the season, Winston has rushed for approximately 1,100 yards and has scored 16 touchdowns for a 7-0 team.
As a junior, Winston rushed for 1,854 yards and scored 23 touchdowns, while averaging 8.96 yards per carry. He also caught 15 passes for 144 yards. His junior season performance was good enough for him to earn first-team all-CIF honors and to be selected League Offensive Player of the Year.
